I had the pleasure of attending my first ever 40k tournament in Pullman, WA this weekend with 4 friends from my FLGS in Spokane. Da Momma's Boyz Brawl is a fantastic event hosted by Pullman's local gaming club. For the small price of $40 per person, we were treated to five rounds of Warhammer 40k over two days in a comfortable and friendly environment, and for an additional $10; all the beer we could drink!

How Do I Make Urban Rubble Bases?
Hi everyone! My friend Son of Dorn really likes how I do quick and easy Urban Rubble bases for my Raven Guard space marines and I agreed that it would be a great idea for a tutorial. Son of Dorn writes at Most Perturbatory and contributes to Apocalypse 40k. They're both great blogs and you should check them out!

Batrep: Dark Angels vs. Tyranids
Last night when I had the guys over for some beers and gaming, I played the first in a series of test games with a Dark Angels scout list. I stole the idea after I read Reece's article over at Frontline Gaming about his Adepticon scout list and I thought the old Dark Angels could get it done even better!
Some caveats: I play Space Wolves with varying ally support, I've never been to a tournament (yet), and this game was my friend Will's first game playing with his new Tyranid codex. In spite of all that I think the scout list would be a great way to play Dark Angels competitively and if anyone wants to steal this idea and take it to awesome new levels, I'd love to see it!

Back to Basics: Tactica - Searchlights

We seized.
